In this section you will learn the importance of proofreading, managing your time and final tips that were created based on previous mistakes that scholarship committees repeatedly came across. Our goal is to make sure that you have all of the resources and tips that other students may not in order to submit award-winning scholarship applications.

Erika Betancourt
Erika Betancourt joined the Washington Apple Education Foundation (WAEF) the summer of 2019 as the Scholarship Specialist. She leads scholarship trainings throughout central Washington to help students fill out award-winning scholarship applications, coordinates scholarship selections and promotes WAEF scholarships. As a previous WAEF scholar and first-generation college student, Erika recognizes the importance of having a helping hand and wants to give back to her community by helping students achieve their academic and career goals. Erika received her Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a Specialization in Population Health from Central Washington University and is now living in Wenatchee, Washington where she grew up.
